GOD’S UNCONDITIONAL LOVE AND MERCY

Bible Lesson: Romans 5:8, “But God demonstrates His own love towards us, in that while we were still sinners, Christ died for us.”  (NKJV).
Behind this display of saving mercy stands God’s love which is proved to us by the cross. The proof of God’s unconditional love and mercy is what He did on the
cross for the Human Race. God demonstrates to us His love and mercy by sending His only begotten son to die on the cross.  2nd Corinthians 5:21 says, “He made
Him who knew no sin to be sin for us, that we might become the righteousness of God in Him.”  Sin is the most dangerous pollution to man. The Bible tells us that we
were born in sin, in sin did our Mother’s conceive us, and we have all come short of the glory of God. This by no means was God’s intension. God wanted to have a
wonderful and great relationship with man, but that evil one called Satan had some plans of his own. The devil decided to interfere with the plan of God.  Adam and
Eve disobeyed God because of the devil’s temptation; as a result, the entire world was plunged into sin. Even with all this, God still had a great love for mankind.

THE PLAN OF GOD: John 3:16 says, “for God so loved the world that He gave His only the Jewish begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but
have everlasting life.” The statement that God so loved the world …, shows the object of God’s love to be universal. According to 1st John 2:2, “and He Himself is
the propitiation for our sins, and not for ours only but also for the whole world.” This is incredible; God’s love and mercy is not only for the believer but for everyone,
whether saved or unsaved. The master plan of God for man after the fall in the Garden of Eden was to redeem us; to win us back to our original place with Him. So
while we were yet sinners, lost in sin and shame, God sent His Son to die for our sins.

THERE IS NO PARTIALITY: There is no partiality with the love of God. The Bible tells of a certain tax collector who wanted to see Jesus, but very small of strategy.
So he ran up a tree as to see Jesus as he passed by. According to Jewish belief, it was not good to keep friendship or talk to tax collectors, because the collectors
often robbed the people in taxes. Jesus saw the tax collector climbing up the tree and called for him to come down.  Then Jesus invited himself to the house of the
collector for tea. This was a great disappointment for many of Pharisees who were following Jesus that day. As far as they were concerned, this man was a sinner
and Jesus had no business eating with him; but because the love of God is not partial, Jesus went to his house for tea and in the process, the tax collector was
converted. There is no sin that is too big, ugly or dirty that Jesus cannot and will not forgive. It doesn’t matter who you are or what you have done, Jesus loves you
the same.

DO YOU WANT TO MEET JESUS: If you do not know the Lord, you can meet him today.  He has been waiting for you, yes you.  All you have to do is open up your
heart to accept him and repeat this prayer: Heavenly Father, I know that I have sinned against you and that my sins separate me from you. I am truly sorry. I now
want to turn away from my sinful past and turn to you for forgiveness. Please forgive me, and help me avoid sinning again. I believe that your Son, Jesus Christ,
died for my sins, that He was raised from the dead, is alive, and hears my prayer. I invite Jesus to become my Savior and the Lord of my life, to rule and reign in my
heart from this day forward. Please send your Holy Spirit to help me obey You and to convict me when I sin. I pledge to grow in grace and knowledge of you. My
greatest purpose in life is to follow your example and do Your will for the rest of my life. In Jesus' name I pray, Amen
